Workshop on critical points for the development of hydrogen valleys in Poland

1. An idea and strategic vision for the operation of hydrogen valleys

• What should such a strategy look like, should it be a region strategy, a market building strategy or a strategy of e.g. an association running a hydrogen valley?
• Preparation of appropriate investment projects. Challenges and issues to be discussed: lack of investment decisions by key actors, lack of experts and posts to prepare the strategy and investment projects, mainly in local government units and small and medium-sized enterprises
• Involvement of valley members in project implementation - building consortia. Challenges and issues for discussion: principles of cooperation between valley members, how to balance the treatment of those who pay a contribution against those who do not, staffing issues in the valleys

2. Financing of projects and financing the operation of hydrogen valleys

• Challenges and issues for discussion: should we commit national funding to support valleys if EU funding is available, how to support local content from the financial side, how to finance the operation of a valley?
